Emmanuel Biblical Counseling Services

Emmanuel Biblical Counseling Services offers biblical counseling to individuals and families. Biblical counseling is a specialized form of pastoral counseling, and emphasizes the practical and therapeutic application of biblical principles to a person's life, with the goal of personal maturity and Christlikeness.

We also offer biblical counseling training to churches that wish to start a lay counseling program within their congregation.

Some common questions:

"Isn't that kind of counseling only good for spiritual problems? My problem is emotional."
All problems have a spiritual component. By learning Godly ways to deal with your emotions and thoughts, biblical counseling can keep your emotions in check.

"Who can benefit from biblical counseling?"
Anyone serious about putting God first in their life. Adolescents, couples considering divorce, families with interpersonal problems, and individuals in crisis or struggling with habitual sins have all been greatly helped by biblical counseling.

"Why is it better than psychological counseling?"
* because it is based on the authority of God's Word, which never changes
* because it treats the spirit and encourages spiritual growth
* because it is directive and goal-oriented

"What does it cost?"
Emmanuel Biblical Counseling Services does not charge any type of fee for counseling, however, donations are welcome. We appreciate your support of this volunteer ministry.

"Thank you for the valuable suggestions you gave me regarding my marriage. I will put them to good use. I thank you so much! I appreciate your willingness to counsel me in my time of need. You are a true Godsend." --- Desiree

"Thank you so much for pointing me in the direction you have. I have tried each of the things you have suggested. I ask for God to bless you for your words - I think tonight I will be reading my dusty old Bible, reading the portions you have pin-pointed for me."--- Adrian
